Entry 1

  • We cover introductory topics to support those who have very basic reading and writing skills.

    Numbers- Understanding and Using Numbers up to Ten, describing properties of size and measure, describing position, recognising and Selecting Coins and Notes.

    Measure, Shape and Space- Recognising and Naming Common 2D & 3D Shapes

    Handling data- Sorting and Classifying Objects.

  • At this second level designed for those who have some prior numeracy knowledge and skills and can read and write basic information.

    Numbers- Understand and use whole numbers with up to two significant figures, understanding addition & subtraction, doubling and halving, recognising and Using Familiar measure, recognising sequences of numbers

    Measue, Shape and Space- Simple scales and measuring, properties of Simple 2D and 3D Shapes.

    Handling Data- Extracting Information from Simple charts.

Entry 2

Entry 3

  • At his third level, learners study higher everyday numeracy skills at the level of a Primary Year 6 level.

    Numbers- Adding & subtracting 3-digit numbers multiplication and division, rounding numbers, understanding and Using Simple fractions and decimals and recognising and Describing Number Patterns.

    Measure, shape and Space- Using 2D and 3D Shapes, metric measures, understanding estimate, measure and Compare.

    Handling Data- Extracting Information from Tables, Charts and Graphs.
